Bible Studies Our Adult Education Ministry offers a number of Bible studies each year. There are groups for every level. Some are small and others are large. Most of our studies follow the traditional school calendar, beginning in September and ending in May. Call our office for the upcoming lineup of Bible Studies.
Meets at 5:30pm in FLC Room 102 The Life and Ministry of the Messiah, by Ray Vander Laan Pack your bags. We’re going on a journey. A quest to uncover Scripture and its meaning across history. Filmed on location in Israel and throughout the Middle East, the Faith Lessons DVD series is an adventure in biblical learning. You will discover why Jesus turned the world upside down with his compelling call to follow him. Teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan brings together history, culture, and geography to illuminate the Gospels. Each student studies with an individual participant guide. All are welcome!
We are currently doing a study called Sacred Echos. We will begin a new study in three weeks. Details to come.Class is held Wednesday mornings, beginning November 11, from 9:30-11:30. All are welcome and there is no book fee. If you have any questions, contact Paula Hoffman at 281-463-2039.
Men's Bible Study meets in Room 101 of the Family Life Center from 5-7pm each Sunday.The focus of our study is Defending our Faith. We will cover a range of topics to help men better solidify and defend their faith.Our current curriculum is The Question of God. We will observe the lives of C.S. Lewis (a Christian) and Sigmund Freud (an Atheist) as we discuss our belief in God. In our next book, The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel, we will look at the case for a God that is the creator of life and that is active in our lives today. [Beginning February 28, 2010.]
Book of HebrewsNo pre-registration or curriculum purchase is necessary. Just come to the class and enjoy the learning and discussion.We are currently studying the book of Hebrews. Meetings are on Mondays, 7:00 to 8:00pm.Location: FLC room 102
