Fall Craft Bazaar

Fall Craft Bazaar

Fall Craft BazaarIn 2011 the United Methodist Women selected Boys and Girls Country as our target charity to receive the majority donation of monies raised by the Fall Craft Bazaar. While other charities also received donations, Boys and Girls Country was singled out as our inspiration to make the bazaar as successful as possible. There were also visitation days on the campus of Boys and Girls Country, where the UMW members interacted with the residents while providing help in cleaning and organizing the cabins. It was an effort that was most rewarding for the UMW members and for the boys and girls.

Fall Craft BazaarThis year the Fall Craft Bazaar will be held on Saturday, October 20. The target charity for 2012 is Houston Rescue and Restore, whose mission is to rescue victims of Human Trafficking. The UMW members have already been active in the war on human trafficking by helping out at Freedom Place, a new facility for the temporary housing of girls rescued from slavery. We feel that this human trafficking issue is a growing problem right here in our community, and we want to do what we can to make a difference.

More details on the Bazaar will be added as they become available. All women of the church are invited to participate and make a difference. We will welcome your help for one hour or all day!
