VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL REGISTRATION DEADLINE ENDS

News alert! The deadline to register for Vacation Bible School is Monday, June 1. This year’s program EVEREST: Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power! will be held Monday, June 22 through Thursday, June 25, from 9:00am to noon.

Vacation Bible School is open to all children, ages 4 through 11 years of age. Younger children must have turned 4 years old by September 1, 2014.

Kids will enjoy a variety of activities, including Bible stories, cooking, crafts and music.

There is no charge for youngsters to attend Vacation Bible School. Participants may order a VBS T-shirt for $10 and/or a music CD for $10.

Vacation Bible School helpers in demand!

Recruitment is in progress for helpers for Vacation Bible School, scheduled for June 22-25 from 9:00am to noon. Preschool activities are available for all children of VBS workers.

Interested in helping? Please register online to offer your services and/or contact John Henley at email hidden; JavaScript is required. All volunteers should plan to attend the volunteer training lunch/meeting on Sunday, June 7 at 12:30pm. Don’t forget to RSVP for the lunch! Hope to see you there!

VBS request! Items needed!

In order to have a successful VBS, we will need to locate these items for our Bible Story Time and Game Time:
Lanterns, sleeping bags, a small tent, beach towels, blankets, adult coats, adult gloves, bundled ropes, backpacks, gallon-sized resealable bags, solid-colored bed sheets, foam slabs, cardboard boxes, beige canvas tarp or sheet, large brown paper bags, artificial greenery, stackable blocks, hula hoops, bed pillows, small spotlight, duct tape.

If you are able to donate any of these items to our VBS, please label them with your contact information, and leave them in the church office. We promise we will return them after VBS!

Awana Clubs

If you are 4 years old through 5th grade, come and be a part of Awana Clubs. Gatherings are each Wednesday, from 6:30 to 8:00pm, in the Family Life Center Gym. In this exciting new ministry for Bear Creek UMC, you’ll learn Scripture, play games, and hear Bible stories. The clubs include Cubbies, Truth and Training, and Sparks. Remember, it’s never too late to join Awana Clubs!
