Dear church family –
Hurricane Harvey is having an strong impact on folks in our surrounding area and because of the concern and safety for all of our congregation members, and in light of the flooding, predicted flooding, and preparations being made by so many, Pastor Leo has made the decision to cancel all worship service and events happening on our campus on Sunday, August 27. This includes all Sunday School Classes, the Blood Drive, Youth Activities, Core Ministry meeting, and Bible Studies. The campus has been secured for any weather Harvey brings to Bear Creek UMC.

Pastor Leo is concerned for the congregation and it was with much thought and prayer that he made this decision; safety comes first. During your chosen worship time or Sunday School time, please be in prayer for all of those in South Texas whose lives have been devestated by this CAT 4 hurricane.

The opening of the Church Office on Monday will be a decision made on Sunday, as the weather pattern develops. If you know visitors to Bear Creek UMC, or those in our church congregation who may not have email, or access to email – please share this information with them. As the experts are warning: stay home and stay safe.
