UMM Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Several years have passed since the inception of the UMM golf tournament benefiting our wounded heroes, but the need to help our injured brave soldiers coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan is now more critical than ever. Over the years, Bear Creek UMC has touched the lives of many of these fine men and women through the United Methodist Men’s outreach to the Impact Player Partners. As we embark on our fifth year supporting wounded veterans, we will be highlighting some of these heroes and giving you the opportunity to see where your IMPACT is being made.

Each spring the United Methodist Men at Bear Creek UMC organize and facilitate an Annual Charity Golf Tournament. This tournament has benefited various missions and ministries within BCUMC. In 2008, for the third year in a row, we supported Impact Player Partners and their mission of improving the quality of life of our American heroes wounded in the war on terror. On May 11, 2009 we raised $20K, bringing our 4-year total donation to over $150K for this terrific organization!

Impact Player Partners is a nonprofit organization consisting of business leaders, athletes, entertainers and sport franchises dedicated to providing continuous emotional, career and financial support to American military personnel who are severely injured or disabled due to serving all Americans in the war on terror.
