At Bear Creek United Methodist Church you will find a worship service for everyone, from traditional to contemporary. Some people enjoy singing hymns with piano and organ music in our traditional services. Others enjoy more up-tempo praise songs with our Faith Matters band in our contemporary service. Whatever your preference, there is a place for you here at Bear Creek UMC!
Our contemporary service, Faith Matters, is an upbeat, active worship service featuring contemporary Christian music and practical messages infused with moments of prayer, Scripture and reflection. We take advantage of worship in the technology age by using all our senses, delighting in God's awesome presence. We're informal, enthusiastic and diverse in age and backgrounds....neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39For Faith Matters Band - Membership in the Faith Matters Band is by audition only. The music at Faith Matters is enhanced by guitar (bass, electric, acoustic), keyboard, flute, violin, percussion, harmonica, vocals, and more. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Faith Matters Band
In our 11:05 service we use a variety of musical styles including classical, gospel and traditional offered by choirs, soloists, instrumentalists and the congregation. The service is structured with traditional liturgy including time for prayer, Scripture, sermon, children’s time, communion, music, reflection and occasional personal witnesses. There are opportunities for all ages to praise and worship God.We encourage you to bring children to worship, but if you prefer, nursery is available.
