Join us for one of our favorite Bear Creek Traditions. Families with small children or those with the heart of a children are invited to participate in our No-Rehearsal-Required Christmas Pageant. We will be reading through the Christmas Story and various congregation members will be chosen as volunteers to become characters in the story. The service will close with communion and we will participate in the Bear Creek tradition of singing “Silent Night” with our glowsticks in hand. This fun and rowdy service is such a special time for the entire family.
Seats are limited this year, so we are asking those who are interested in attending the service In-Person to sign up via the link below so we can save a spot for you!
Immediately after the service we will join with a community of believers around the world in ringing our jingle bells in celebration of Christ’s birth. We hope that everyone in-person and online will join us together!

Safely Worship In-Person at Bear Creek UMC
Worship services at Christmas time are a big part of a family’s faith experience. If you are considering attending worship for the first time in months, you’d probably like to know what “in-person” worship at Bear Creek UMC is like.
The safety protocol in effect on campus is below. Before each worship service, volunteers on the plaza greet our visitors and encourage social distancing as worshiping families approach the Sanctuary entrances. Each person entering the building must wear a mask and get a temperature screening. After a brief stop at the check-in table, an usher will escort the family to their pew. The pews are marked so that social distancing is consistent throughout the Sanctuary. The number of people in the Sanctuary is carefully monitored to make sure that the total number of worshipers is within the established safe Sanctuary capacity.
At the conclusion of worship, each family is escorted by an usher from the Sanctuary to the exit so that worshipers maintain social distancing while indoors and exit rather than gather. After each service, the hard surfaces in the Sanctuary are disinfected/cleaned. When you attend worship in-person, you’ll find a clean, safe indoor space. And most likely, you will encounter fewer people than you would in grocery store.

Bear Creek UMC Safety Protocol
Please arrive 20 minutes before worship starts to allow time for Check-In and temperature taking.
1. Wear Face Mask at all times on the church campus
2. Avoid physical contact with other people (Distance Greeting)
3. Avoid group gatherings
4. Observe social distancing guidelines (6 feet) while in the pews and on the church campus
5. Children will remain with parent/guardian at all times
6. We will check temperatures before entering the worship space. Your temperature must be less than 100.4°F to enter
7. Bear Creek UMC Ushers will direct seating as well as a direct dismissal
8. DO NOT alter seating or barriers. Follow all markings and observe roped off pews
9. Avoid singing during the worship service to protect those around you
10.
