A program of scripture, devotional and prayer as we reflect on Jesus’ journey to the cross. The program will be hosted by the Prayer Ministry. From your seat, we’ll take an imaginary walk with Jesus through a series of 14 artistic images that depicts the Passion of the Christ and His crucifixion. This is an opportunity to meditate and reflect what it must have been like to be there. Experience the gravity Jesus body being laid in the tomb, covered in incense, and meditate on the anticipation of Jesus being raised from the dead.
This event is open to the congregation and the entire community. Sanctuary
Experience a new twist on our Prayer Vigil tradition here at Bear Creek UMC. The Prayer Ministry will lead a Prayer Vigil during the three days of Easter beginning 3:00pm Good Friday (April 10) through sunrise on Easter (April 12). During this time, someone will be in prayer in our Sanctuary continually. Although anyone can pray as long as they feel comfortable, we’ll have fresh participants every hour. There will always be at least two people; one outside and others inside praying. The Prayer Ministry will have a table in the Narthex for anyone to signup for their preferred date and time. We will provide suggested prayer topics each day. There are no age restrictions. Security will be provided.
